Project goal Challenge: Simplified Online Marketplace
You are tasked with building a simplified online marketplace for buying and selling products. The marketplace should have the following features:
- Users can register and create an account
- Users can post products for sale, including a name, description, and price
- Users can browse all products for sale
- Users can search for products by name and/or price
- Users can add products to a shopping cart
- Users can view their shopping cart, update quantities, and checkout
- Users can view their order history
You may assume the following:
Users do not need to log in to browse products but must log in to post products, add products to a shopping cart, view their shopping cart, checkout, and view their order history.
Users can only purchase one unit of a product at a time.
Your task is to implement the functionality described above using Python and any frameworks/libraries of your choice. You may use a database of your choice to store data, such as SQLite or PostgreSQL.
Your submission should include:
A working web application that meets the requirements above.
Clear and concise code, with comments where necessary.
Brief documentation explaining how to set up and run your application.
Solution
Based on the task I implemented the whole application using Python, its Django Framework and the database was PostgreSQL:
- I created login and create forms where users can register and create an account with strong passwords to secure login page.
- I also created a post form where users can post products for sale, including a name, description, and price and they must have and account and logged into the app to post.
- I made sure that users can browse all products for sale even without logging to the application
- I implemented a search functionality where users can search for products by category and/or price
- I created an add to cart button to each product where users can add products to a shopping cart but required to login first to do that.
- I implemented a cart page where users can view their shopping cart and update quantities but required to login also to do that.
- I also implemented a checkout form for users to submit their shipping details but required login also to do that.
- Users can view their order history while logged in.
I also implemented many more features, check the video presentation for more.

After wards I intergrated online markets with mpesa payment api.

This is a system that enables staff members to carry out their day to day activities in an automated way in any organization.
The system offers various functionalities that is:

- Automated salary payments to staff members (Payroll system API).
- Reporting sessions in the company rather than using the Reporting books at the receptionist.
- Leave application forms for staff members.
- Raising issue platform that imitates the suggestion box.
